I Gigioni dondoloni – The rocking Gigioni
GALO is one of the European pioneers of street art as well as a pillar of the Turin underground scene especially since 2010, the year in which he inaugurated GALO ART GALLERY, an exhibition space dedicated to exhibitions on post-graffiti and international pop art. In front of one of his walls it is impossible not to recognize Gigione, the whimsical protagonist of his painting. Painting totally in freestyle and mainly using the spray can, his characters take shape thanks to the use of a technique based on a multilayer of colors which, repeated in sequence, outline the silhouettes. Galo alternates works in rainbow tones with other darker ones, as in this case, in which black is prevalent. The artwork was created in 2015. – MAUA MUSEUM
